Sacramento Children’s Musical Theater Creative Team

JOHN BISCEGLIE (Sacramento Children’s Musical Theater Founder/Director/Producer) Since 1985, John Bisceglie has created, directed and choreographed hundreds of community, commercial, and professional productions featuring actors of all ages. Since 1991, he has created and founded three Bay Area performing arts organizations in San Jose (SBCMT) Morgan Hill/Gilroy (GCMT) and San Francisco (SFCMT) producing original musical revues, scripted plays as well as feature films starting Bay Area youth. His large scale productions have appeared at the Herbst Theater, Marine’s Memorial Theater, Pier 39 and Palace of Fine Arts Theater in San Francisco. John enjoys sharing his longtime experience and passion for theatre with actors of all ages and is thankful to work with his wonderful team whose dedication, energy, and talent make producing his shows possible.

NAOMI BERMAN (SCMT/SFCMT Vocal Director / Assistant Choreographer) is excited to be collaborating with John Bisceglie and the wonderful team of artists at SCMT. Naomi is a bay area native; she grew up doing shows with SJCMT, San Jose Civic Light Opera and Saratoga Drama group. Naomi attended The Boston Conservatory Theater, San Francisco American Conservatory Theater and San Francisco State University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater Arts and a teaching credential in Elementary Education. Naomi enjoys performing in John’s community theater productions and singing with her band Monday Night Collective. Naomi enjoys sharing her knowledge of singing, music and theater with the performers at SFCMT. Naomi is thankful for this opportunity and to be reunited with John Bisceglie, her dear friend of over twenty years.

EMILY FERNANDEZ (Dance Director) is a 24-year-old newlywed residing in Gilroy, CA. She is a graduate from San Francisco State University, with her degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in elementary education. Emily plans to return to school to get her master’s degree and teaching credential in hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher. Emily first found her passion for performing at age 10, where she performed in her first show with John Bisceglie, “Forever Broadway”. After performing in numerous productions as a dancer and actress, she was thrilled when Bisceglie asked her to student choreograph. Emily has been assisting with choreography, later becoming dance director, with GCMT since age 16. She was so excited to take the trip to San Francisco to help start SFCMT, and then to San Jose to start SBCMT. Emily’s true passion is working with children and helping them discover their creative side! Outside the GCMT/SBCMT/SFCMT world Emily is also a nanny. She loves to mountain bike and take crazy adventures with her husband. As a former GCMT participant, Emily loves giving the families and children the same experience that helped change her life!

DEBBIE DOLPH (Box Office and Rehearsal Manager) has enjoyed working with John Bisceglie for 12 years. Debbie has played many roles behind the scenes from working as a backstage manager during her daughter’s 22 shows as a performer, to ticket sales and even assisting with costume embellishment and set construction! She now enjoys working alongside her daughter, Emily, in San Francisco, Gilroy and San Jose. Debbie is thrilled to watch her grandchildren be a part of the next generation of young performers and to witness the positive impact that theater has had in their lives and in the community. She is proud to be a part of a company that not only values but, celebrates the diversity and individuality that each child brings to our stage.
